It looks like they are bringing back the 1400, maybe it’s common knowledge but this is the first I’ve heard it.
-
Looks like bogus AI generated stuff
-
I don't think that motor meets the Euro air standards. One reason it stopped.
-
Why would there be a couple of YouBoob crap videos about it and no public announcement from Guzzi on their website or seemingly in the actual press?
-
IDK but sometimes there’s smoke before there’s fire?
Personally I think bringing back the 1400 would be a positive move for MG as the company has left us cruiser riders high and dry. Again, personally, at this time the old cruiser MG line is the only reason I remain a fan of the brand.
-
There does not seem to be a shortage of 1400s for those that want them. I got mine about 2 years ago at Cadre and a few weeks later, he had another one for sale. They were not a big seller the first time around. I would bet that over the 7 year model run, there are less than 2,000 in the US. Think about trying to qualify that engine for Euro 5+ for a few hundred sales per year. Millions of Euros just to make thousands of Euros. The last ones in 2020 were closer to 20k than to 15k. I can't think of too many Guzzi riders willing to stick their toes into $20,000 + territory? The traditional expensive cruiser Harley is having a hard time even with all of the brand recognition and loyalty they have enjoyed.

Smoke USUALLY comes from press kits made available by the OEM to the press a little before the information is to become public.
Once in a long while someone uncovers it sooner when say someone gets wind of CARB certification paperwork that lists say new model names or engine capacities.
Sometimes it comes from trademark registration.
And if I had to guess this last one is on what these stupid videos are based. It seems that in March of 24 Cycleworld reported that Guzzi had renewed the "California" trademark.
https://www.cycleworld.com/motorcycle-news/moto-guzzi-california-trademark-renewed/
Their prediction at the time was a V100 variant (and truthfully should something happen that seems more likely). But call me a skeptic either way.
Remember Harley trademarked "The Bronx" for a street fighter we never got also. That led to a lot of speculation online as well.

We will just have to wait and see I guess.

With an aging motorcycle population and a younger generation no longer interested in riding, I can’t believe that this heavyweight segment has much life left in it. I think smaller and lighter motorcycles are the future in cycling. I think the current V7 line is great along with Royal Enfield‘s lineup.
-
Way more likely there would be a California based on the V100 engine surely. Those AI generated you tube bike speculations are bloody annoying and just click bait.

Exactly what I want. I hope it comes.

I call BS. The blue rendering is one of those Bezzi sketches imposed overfootage from an old show. A new California would in all likelihood be based on the V100 powerplant. I'm still very impressed by the V100s power delivery.

A great many of these view whores post any kind of garbage to satisfy YouTube or other strict accounting. Once one has clicked on the link they have what they want and the viewer is left confused and duped.
If Moto Guzzi or Piaggio want to announce new product, they most likely would make an official announcement on legitimate platforms.
FWIW, avoid YouTube posts that use click bait titles like "the government/megacorporation/cops/manufacturers/healthcare professionals DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT THIS!!!" What a crock...

THIS is one of the reasons I don't watch YouBoob at all and rarely click links.
Remember the very model of how they get paid is by clicks and many specifically use more controversial or stupid content to get attention.
It's like what has happened to less reputable news sources because so few YouBoobers have developed a brand reputation that they need to protect.
Even the ones that put in the time to develop a brand aren't held to the standards of modern news networks (which can start to fall to the temptation of withholding facts or slanting stories as biased by focusing on icky the part that fits their narratives). It's just the scale is so much worse on YouBoob it's not worth my time and I refuse to directly help them monetize that crap.

Yup. Just look at where a lot of the interest, production and purchasing of motorcycles is taking place: 350 -600 cc . I just
purchased a CF Moto 450 Ibex and am very pleased so far. Only time will tell on reliability, but the bike is exactly what I was
looking for. It makes my V 85 seem like a "big adventure bike" , which is traditionally considered a middle weight. I am
an official member of the "older rider wanting less weight" in a bike, and there are a lot of us who still want to ride but are
changing our requirements. On the other end of the spectrum, the younger people that are coming into the two wheel world need
motorcycles that they might actually be able to afford. With the production of desirable bikes from China and India, finally
BMW, Aprilia & Kawasaki have some new bikes in this smaller range on the near horizon. 1400 Cruiser? Don't see it as viable.

IIRC The EV Cinquecento was used in Mission Impossible 7.

Similar bogus YouTube videos can be found showing the 2025 Victory Motorcycles line-up.
Yea, ok.

That'll be the social truth!

I wish Guzzi would come back out with a ‘big bike’. For me, there hasn’t been anything in their line I’d ever consider since they shut down the 1400 line.
But I have little to no belief they’ll reenter the big bike market.
In hindsight I’m glad I bought a second Victory Cross bike a couple years ago instead of an all black Guzzi 1400 Eldorado.
Even for a ‘dead brand’ like Victory Motorcycles, I can get 98%+ of any part delivered to my door in only a few days. Being a typical Victory Cross bike, even after 101K+ miles, it’s still on the original drive belt, clutch etc. Only common items like a battery, brake pads etc have been needed. None of the normal maintenance items even need Polaris Industries.
I wanted to like the BMW R18. But once I sat on one I knew that would never work for me. Way too top heavy, way too small a gas tank and way too uncomfortable.
Now, an 1800 Moto Guzzi Eldorado? You bet, sign me up and take my money.
Admittedly I’m not on this site much more. When I look to see what’s new, it’s typically posts of older bikes.
I’m certainly glad Cadre in OH is still alive and presumably doing well. But are they the only Moto Guzzi dealer that knows the bikes and have proven themselves through years of dedicated service to the Moto Guzzi faithful? Maybe the dealer in Texas as well, (F1?)

CT has had Hamlin for a long time and before that we was service mgr for Branch Motors. It's not a downgrade form the others mentioned by any stretch.
Jim knows Guzzi as well as anyone.

Good to hear from you Mark. Keep in touch with the Guzzi family on the Forum as ownership is not a pre-requisition to participate.
Give me a call sometime so we can catch up on life. 👍

Thank you Dan! Work travel may have me in your area in the coming weeks.
