I have always admired the 1998 EV in HDM trim, and I just bought this one owner. It has been very well taken care of its whole life and impeccably maintained at Ned's over the years.
The color scheme that separates the true believers from the pretenders. :cheesy:

Nice. That's a true classic, right there.
Do you happen to know if Jim and his family are doing all right? Last time I went through there was when I met you and another gent and gave him a bunch of V11 (maroon) parts. 2022 maybe?

I had a '98 V11 way back when...very comfortable to ride with the floorboards and heel/toe shifter...

She turned 30 a couple of months ago, graduated from nursing school at Duke, and shares my passion for bikes. Here's a more recent picture of us:

It is fantastic to share this hobby with our kids. My boy (37) and I are taking a trip this coming weekend.

I have always liked the Pontiac Aztec and the AMC Pacer.

I burped a bunch of 98's to life in summer of 97, yes, 1st time they were early in getting to US. Only 1 HDM for a guy from Wheaton. Well, I keep in contact & worked on them, he sold it for a big BMW tourer.
Jump ahead to 2009 or so I was working on a HDM in GA at shop in mtns, Riders Hill. The bike had a plate on it from CHI BMW. It was same bike, like it was looking for me. I called past owner & told him about. Weird science.

Cool story!
This one was sold new out of South Suburban (Chicago).

This super nice example just popped up on FB Marketplace in Savannah, MO. 26,000 miles and only asking $1500!!! 1 OWNER! If it wasn't a 7 hour drive away I might have 2 of them.

How do you guys with multiple bikes afford insurance ,assuming you ride them regularly?
-
And in Cali if it is registered it is required to have current insurance. I have a friend in Nevada who has a lot of bikes, he says he has a blanket policy that covers anything he is riding.

Volume discounts!
But if I had your money I'd burn mine Tom. Then it would be nothing but Vincents and Brough Superior.

Anyone with experience of using a cost effective MC shipper and how you purchased from so far away?
-
I have had Chadd Mowery ( Churchtown Services) ship two Guzzis and a sidecar I purchased, and on all 3 shipments, he did an excellent job. He kept me informed, at all times, and delivered everything to my door in rural Southeastern AZ.He ships bikes all over the USA.
If I ever needed a bike shipped, I would use him, very nice guy to deal with.He was recomended to me by a wildguzzi member.
Give him a ring..610 823 8063
Rick.

I've had good luck with UShip, but others have had not so great luck. With UShip, it is kind of the luck of the draw, although the individual shippers have ratings that follow them on the App. Do your homework and you should be OK.

I've used HaulBikes twice. Both times it was perfect. Kept me in the loop the entire time. Driver was tremendous.

Too late, 98 EV sold to local. I wanted it more then needed it as I have barely room for 2 bikes. It was just my lust to own a well preserved EV11. Think I should take VroomHilda out for a ride as she is close to passing 50,000 mile mark soon!

Wow ! Great find !

Go with Chad, he’s the best. And probably lowest cost..There’s over 2 million miles on his truck and his second trailer has over 1million.
The add image to post isn’t working for me.

Such photo already exists. Someone has it. I've looked everywhere with no luck.
