Title: V7III Oil Pressure Switch
Post by: Kiwi_Roy on June 04, 2025, 07:44:12 PM
I would like to add an oil pressure gauge to my V7III Special but I don't see a switch or lines in the usual position between the cylinders.

Does anyone have a picture of the switch location.

Thanks

Roy

It's just in front of the bell housing and behind the cylinders, right in the middle where it's hard to get to.

Depending on the thread, there are fittings/manifolds that have a hole for the stock sender and a 1/8" pipe fitting or the like that you connect your gauge to. I would recommend and electric gauge over the one with the hose to the gauge.

Be careful with the oil pressure switch on small blocks ,as I remember it the older ones have a locating pin for a cam bearing. I don’t know if they are still like that but I wouldn’t turn the engine over with it removed.

I believe John A is correct, I forgot about that. So DO NOT use the fitting I mentioned.
