We have lost an American icon and treasure today with the passing of Beach Boys member Bryan Wilson.
As many of you did, I grew up listening to The Beach Boys as part of my youth’s fondest memories.
Times like hanging out on the boardwalk at Myrtle Beach, high school Sock hops and waxing my 1969 Super Bee, on hot summer Sunday afternoon with my buddy pals, while the beach boys greatest hits was blasting from my eight track stereo radio.
Another chapter of Americans great music history slips away. God speed Mr Bryan Wilson/Beach Boys.

He, and the Beach Boys, made some good music. It'll be around forever. RIP

Saw The Beach Boys many times. Feel good music. I’m surprised Wilson made it this long.

Yea the ole boy walked a rocky path at times in his life’s journey, for sure.

The Beach Boys have been and will remain my favorite band of all time. I was listening to Pat St John this afternoon on Sirius 60s. He played a lot of Beach Boys some from his collection, some of which I had not heard. At the end of his show he played a phone call he got from Paul McCartney. Then after the call he closed his show with Paul's all time favorite song "God Only Knows." Check out the lyrics. I had tears in my eves. Godspeed Brian, I will miss you.

I saw them in outside concert with Bad Co in a football stadium. The arrived in a helicopter and really up-staged Bad Co landing by the stage.

I played in a jazz band for years. We covered several of his songs-jazzed up of course. After that I started listening to his Beach Boy stuff. Beyond brilliant arrangements. In George Martin territory for sure.
Caroline No was a big favorite.

Due to some kind of unexplained hearing disability that I have, I can't understand the lyrics in a song. They get muddled by the instrumentation. The mixing of the sounds and the clarity of the vocals by the Beach Boys allowed me to understand a good portion of their songs. But most of all I loved the arranging of the music and the blending of the sounds. I wish I could explain it better but I think I kind of got it across.
