Title: Guzzi Diag Reader .bin file
Post by: vrdennisj on June 11, 2025, 09:59:23 PM
I have a 2014 California Touring and I've successfully read the map file into a .bin file.

My question is:  How do I view the contents of that .bin file.

I've seen references to using another application tunepro, I guess I could try that but is there another way?

Also, I have downloaded the 7SM_MotoGuzzi_1400_ EURO4_V1.04.xdf file, but I don't know if this file might help me. I don't know how to use it.

Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks.

Tunepro is the way to view the file - it's free

Yep, Tuner Pro is the way to go. However I think you have the wrong XDF file. With your bike being 2014 you almost certainly need the EURO 3 version. EURO 4 Applies to post 2017 vehicles.

TunerPro is the only way to go.
The XDF file configures TunerPro for the type of BIN file you have. Make sure you have the correct one.

You have to apply the bin file and map file to TunerPro to see or modify your map Guzzidiag only installs it or retrieves the map to a file.
You need to read the thread about GuzziDiag & TunerPro it's all in there if you read.

Thank you kindly Jon, Wayne and Steve for you informative responses. You've answered all of my questions and I'll access the guzzidiag & tunepro thread, to get a full understanding of what (and how) I'm doing this. You guys are very helpful and swift to respond, much obliged.

BTW, I'm a decades long linux user (and programmer) and although I did initially use it with my Dell Latitude laptop and found GuzziDiag to work to a degree, I loaded MS Windows 10 since it seems to be the only platform that supports the PROM reader application. In the end, my only stumbling block was the connection cables. Once I purchased the recommended cables everything else ran smoothly.

I'm exceedingly grateful to this WildGuzzi community for all their support. You guys are GREAT.
