Title: Wisconsin State Rally
Post by: Tom on June 17, 2025, 05:31:30 PM
You can register online with Pyro Dan.  He can take Zelle payments and/or Paypay.  Snail mail works.  If you register using Zelle, you have to use his email address.  He'll email a registration form too.

For you cheap bastards.     Save $10 if you register before JULY 1; 2025.  Tent camping, meals and beer truck.   :boozing: :boozing: :boozing:  Read the ad. If you live 2 states over "Why not?"

Aug 1 to Aug 3, 2025

41st WISCONSIN MOTO GUZZI RALLY
The 41st Annual Wisconsin Moto Guzzi Riders Rally will be held on August 1 - 3, 2025 at the Legion Park in the Village of Wonewoc. All brands are welcome. Registration is $60 before July 1, 2025 and $70 at the gate. We will feature Wisconsin's best grilled brats & burgers Friday evening, Philly steak sandwiches Saturday evening and deluxe continental breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday mornings. As always, Wisconsin's finest refreshments will flow from the artesian taps. The rally fee also includes tent camping Friday and Saturday. Wonewoc is located in the heart of Wisconsin's driftless region - the area not flattened by the glacier. It is spectacularly scenic riding territory. See https://wmgr.org for more details. There are a limited number of RV sites available. Contact dan@dpguzzi.com for reservations.

I will get there Saturday mid morning'ish...a long 100 mile ride from where I'm staying.  Will find the most scenic twisting route along the way.

Looking forward to a nice weekend there.

Wisconsin Moto Guzzi Riders 41st rally is this weekend.
Helen thought we should post a pic of the weather prediction, not that I trust the forecasters.
The weather does look promising.

The weather was great!  No rain.  Some Canadian smoke.

I got my rally report Sat morn, a call about a Cali 14 that wasn't running right. He had just paid the dealer a grand to work on it & install GT tune & autotune PC stuff. Was having tank suck issue.

Better weather than NC get together, always rain there. AND no report from there either.

Actually I believe the official head count was publicly declared to be 110, one more than last year.

It was a great rally Kevin...you missed a good one.  Absolutely perfect weather and riding in the area too. Beer was good too...

Lots of Guzzis (1 Greenie, 1 Norge, 2 Grisos), a fair amount of BMW's, a few random Hondas, Yamahas and others...a couple of sidecars and a few more modern Guzzis also.

Ages ranged from 40's to 80's.  :)

Paul - Excellent !

I would have thought that the turnout would have been larger, given the most excellent weather.

We were unable to attend, due to a minor emergency (now resolved).  The Wisconsin Rally is always a great rally.

Good eyes!  I’d never seen one before that I can recall.  In nice shape too!!

The rally was great as usual. Plenty of fire wood, not much for bugs,no rain. Nice folks, great to see a few younger folks even if they weren’t riding Guzzis. Talking to Pyro, next year he will order more Spotted Cow.

I own the  Teraplane rig. Thanks for the compliments, had it since 1996, originally it was on a 78 Yamaha XS 1100. Lee Burns ( a member here from Water Town SD) built the mounting frame and installed it last year. I have thoughts about adding a Cal 111 fairing and EML rims to run smart car tires, but I need to find a third EML rim for the hack. It’s a project, But for now it is what it is.  The  Teraplane is a heavy but very stable side car, supposedly they made less then 2000 in the late 70’s, on the XS11, when I was in my 40’s I had it over 100 mph a couple times, haven’t pushed it yet to see what the EV can do. We added the side car for Mr.Wilson and our grandkids. For those who don’t know, you don’t ride a side car rig, you drive them, there’s a big but fun difference but the learning curve isn’t that steep.
Sorry for hacking the thread.

Got home yesterday.  Probably the last one from the rally.     Had to recover from jet lag.     Richard let me use his V100.  He's the one in the picture with me.  He rode his CanAm Spyder.   :thumb:  IIRC Richard is MGNOC #7.  I'm #226 OR something like that.
