I was sick and tired of my Hepco and Becker saddlebag lids just flopping open all the way. Several years ago I contacted them and found that they sell these small cables which limit its opening. So I ordered two from them and I riveted attached both at the right spots and now they open Just right.

Hey, thanks. I was going to make a set. With some extra webbing straps like on bottom. From another bag I tossed.

I custom tailored the opening angle individually of left and right according to the angle my bike sits on its side stand. Both of their lids now open parallel to the ground when it’s on the side stand.
