I’m picking up a 2007 Miata with hard top on Monday. I know nothing compares to WG but what forum should I join?
In case you know, what is the cheapest best way to add car play so I can access Spotify? Thx.

I have only ever used forum.miata.net . Never looked for anything else.
I put a cheap chinesium double din Android Auto in mine to replace the crap Bose. It works well and supports car play also. It did leave the antenna extended all of the time, so I installed a switch under the dash that is easy to reach.

Wayne’s choice is the best. I’ve used that forum since around 2000. They don’t suffer political crap, personal attacks etc. there is a garage section with tips, how tos etc.
I’ve had three Miata’s, an original base 1994, then a 2000 NB, and I just bought a 2008 PRHT Grand Touring. This is the one with the transformer type hardtop convertible.
Post a couple of pics. Here is mine…

I bought one of these for my motorbikes. It was ~$70-80 when I bought it, so...tariffs have kicked in or something. It is $99 now. Seems to work? I don't have any audio experience with it, but I have connected my iPhone and the map app works and the various (non audio) apps work. It is designed for bluetooth ear buds so there may be a way to broadcast to the car- I just can't say. Anyhow- red suspender content-->it was cheap.

Oh- the power is just bare wire, so you would need to put a connector on it. I wanted an SAE, so I soldered one on. Also, this one looks like it takes an SD card, but mind does not. Maybe that's why it was cheaper?

Nice. I think that is called Winning Blue.
I just found out that the gears in the hardtop, need infrequent lubing. Pretty easy to do, about a 15 minute maintenance item.

Since we are doing pictures.
Mine, somewhat sadly, pulls duty as a toad. (towed behind an RV) Hard to keep it clean, but great to have at most destinations.

Glad I spotted this thread and learned of the forum mentioned above. We've owned ours ( '97 STO ) for 15 years now and love it.
