Title: New Gillardonis
Post by: frozengoose on July 22, 2025, 04:07:30 PM
I got this in an email from ole Crusty. I bought a set of Meteors from him last year.

Crusty Cycle

Hi everybody! Just a heads up: I'll have a few 850T, T3, Eldorado 850cc Gilardoni cylinders coming in a few days. You can pre-order them now. Should arrive by August 1, 2025. Limited quantities, so act now if you want them.

Nice.  Been on your road, too, for what it's worth.

Glad you could make it up here. If you ever come back, I'll buy you a beer at the locally world famous Two Rivers Lodge. It's just down the road and was recently rebuilt after it was burned down by our resident teenage arsonist. Good times, for sure.

I lucked out about a year ago when the guy who was handling Charlie Coles stash of parts put a set of LeMans Gillardoni cylinders/pistons on FB. I assume that Gillardonis will no longer produce those kits but I wonder if the new 850 barrels for the T,T3 etc. would work with stock LM I pistons?

Just a curiosity.

MG Cycle will have a limited number of sets as well.

I've installed several sets of the Stein-Dinse cylinder kits - they're every bit as good as the Gilardonis, and are actually cheaper.
