Title: Bleed Valve Question
Post by: Mike Crenshaw on July 23, 2025, 12:00:41 PM
My 2014 California 1400 Touring has a bleed valve on the handlebar brake Master Cylinder and a bleed valve on the handlebar clutch master cylinder.  These are in addition to the bleed valves on the brake calipers and the clutch bleed valve under the seat.  My question is to know what purpose these extra bleed valves are for as I've never seen an set up like this before.  Usually I can find answers to this kind of question on line but so far no joy.  Thanks in advance.

Common on newer bikes.  Air rises, so the bleed valves up high at the master cylinders aids bleeding the brakes.
