After receiving a tachometer from Speedhut, I sent an email to them asking about their gauges' weatherproof-ness. Nice gal Rachel replied with this:
---------------------------------------
I want to reassure you that if you recently received your tachometer, you would have our latest model, which has undergone significant improvements. Our gauges now feature an IP67 water resistance rating, meaning they are designed to be both dust-tight and highly water-resistant from the front. This level of protection is achieved through:
- High-quality materials that withstand various environmental conditions.
- A proprietary-designed O-ring sealed window that enhances durability and prevents moisture ingress.
- Rigorous testing and quality control measures to ensure reliability in diverse applications, including motorcycles, convertibles, boats, and off-road vehicles.
Given this enhanced water resistance, your tachometer should perform well even in challenging weather conditions. However, if you have any specific concerns or if you plan to use it in particularly harsh environments, feel free to let us know, and we can provide additional recommendations.
---------------------------------
I asked them this because I saw a post somewhere that said they're not inherently weatherproof, but if you tell them your gauge is to used on a motorcycle, they'll add some sealant under the bezel to make them weather resistant. So, no need to worry now.

Be sure to order your Speedhut gauges with the rear plug in set/reset button, Not the button thru the front glass.
Speedhut will add a Guzzi eagle logo to the face.
