Title: TBS/TPS from Norge Now V11
Post by: SemperVee on August 01, 2025, 10:43:23 AM
Just as I have gotten a handle on tuning my 07 Norge Looking at maintaining 03 Hydro EV... Gotta keep learning, or else we are all masochists those that have several Guzzi's?

Totally different from what I am reading.  Thought the EV would be easier but no. Yes I have Guzzidiag.   Wondering if my Norge alternator voltage reading  acting up is a sign to BEWARE!! Buy a new problem free motorcycle instead of compounding the Guzzi knowledge!! LOL.  We that learn then become mentors also.

At least you don't have a stepper motor jacking with you. Here's to all the Guzzi Butchers out there tearing the crap out and making it like old. I prefer to keep riding old and not buy new just to make it like old.

The TPS is mechanical set it & forget it, mine hasn't moved since 09. It has a variance, I always set it at +15mv cause I work on and own stuff that goes with open in & out.

Yup.  I like old too with not too many computer controlled geegaws.  Though I wish it had ABS.  When I went to look at this EV it has the patina  or  aura of grease of not having been molested since MI closed in Seattle.  Hopefully is has not tps/tbs moved either with not alot of mileage. LOL Hopefully when I pick it up it won't have a massive learning curve with too many issues.  Just many years of maintenance catch up.  Outwardly she is pristine in paint and no rust - all stock.  Still needs the tour model locking bags going forward.

It's easy to set up, just back off the idle stop screw so you can have butterfly closed totally. Then check & or set it. You re sync it to the other side you haven't moved the idle screw.

Thanks GuzziSteve,  I will be revisiting that when working through the long list of To-Do's on this new to me 03 Hydro.  I might need some clarification and pointers.
