So I flew down to Anchorage from Nome this week with my GF. For medical and to have a mini vacation, and decided to meet up with some of the flock ( the few in Alaska) for a meet and greet.

We met up today for food and beers at the peanut farm. A local Anchorage watering hole, nice place if u ever here.
Pic above L-R: rodekyll, Matteo, beansnrice (obscured by a big head) , Bill Ryan, Dave Hess, Stacy( my GF) and me.
Beer was drank, BS was had, more beer and BS! Good food, good time by all.
and this was my first meet with others of my kind.of crazy...as I live closer to Russia on Alaska's west coast than any other city.
Great bunch of guys. After dinner Matteo was gracious enough to invite me back to his bat cave for show n tell. I wish I had as nice of a garage ( I am green) c100, v7II in racer garb, v85tt, and the cutest little stornello 125!
Thanks to all the guys, and an invite if any of you would like to see some off the beaten path Nome style. I Fly back tomorrow and it's back to work Monday. Cheers.

How is Dave? I miss his posts and updates on the Convert trike. He passed through northern Michigan years ago and we had lunch. Very interesting guy.

Interesting for sure, I did talk about converts especially, as that is one of the bikes I would consider in the future. Not sure if that particular one is his current, " heavily" moded one, but got mentioned.

Good to meet you Ken, if you hung around any longer we could've made a couple of wigs out of that beard.😉

I thought Dave had left Alaska for good, last time I heard he was down in Texas helping the turnip farmer sort out his junk.
I only met him once at the rally in Oregon he was riding the trike.
Actually I think he may have been at Deep Woods Campout one year with a tent like a VW bus.

I have been up the Iditarod trail twice, 2006, 2007 with Irondog
https://www.irondog.org/
And in reverse as far as Galena in 2019 where we stopped due to an illness. It is all wilderness. But when and if they put in the road the have been talking about for the last 20 or so years, I will for sure be the first one to ride it...on a Guzzi of course!
