Title: Guzzidiag issues #2
Post by: brider on August 24, 2025, 08:56:27 PM
I THOUGHT I had the GD files downloaded to my laptop, but that was a different laptop. So I went to the New Improved GD page and tried to download, and get this:

What might this be all about?

Put a USB drive in your old laptop and copy the files to it and then transfer them to the new laptop. Then figure out your security issue later.

This MAY just work...but I will brace myself for a security issue when trying to copy. Will advise how it goes....

I believe I was successful in transferring my GD files from my old laptop via USB thumb drive, but just got a message when trying to order a cable from Lonelec that they don't deliver to my address (in CT)? Anybody run into this?

Any RECENT options or suggestions for an alternate cable? Lotsa links are years old and the link (usually Amazon) comes up dead.

These specify "K Line" and IIRR the "FTDI" chip set. I have not used either of these brands. The ones that I have are a different brand, but blue in color. Do your own due diligence and research.

This is the adapter you need for "most" Guzzi's:
