Title: Royal Enfield Super Meteor
Post by: inditx on August 29, 2025, 08:58:07 AM
Just did my first service on her.
Bike runs well, shifts well, handles well, great gas mileage….what’s not to like?
Oh yeah, I ditched the RE Touring screen since it’s buffet city for me.
Naked bikes are best imho!

Bar Risers
Belt Drive
Heal Toe shift lever
Mid pegs for feet position change up (Since changing the forward controls requires moving rear brake set up)
Givi trunk (hate the look but love the function)

No windshield

Good looking bikes.  I like the paint scheme.

Top boxes are ugly as hell but probably the most useful bit of luggage on a bike.

After "throwing away" dirt bikes on countless getoffs, I have a vision of one of them hitting me in the a$$ and taking me to the scene of the crash. Nope. I don't care how useful they are..

I hear the sound of suspenders snapping.     :boozing:

I never thought of that but I suppose it's a consideration.

Someone needs to chime in about the time they "had to lay it down" to avoid an accident....

A better alternative than "grabbing too much front brake and going over the bars...."

I need to try to convince my bikes to not "throw me away!"

The proposed 50% tariff would sure put a dent in sales. Whether it applies to motorcycles or not as well as if it goes into effect or not is the big question. I have been kind of considering a new V7 850. There is a '25 not too far from me which would be pre-tariff, with a 10% tariff I would be looking at $1,000 increase. Taxes and registration would add another $100.
