Years have gone by since the foam heat shield disintegrated on the bottom of my Norge tank….after a few vapor issues last year on exceptionally hot (+105F) Texas summer months today I decided to add some heat shield lining while I have it off for air filter replacement and running wiring to add a voltmeter/USB charging to the dash area. Super easy, self adhesive tape...must have added at least an ounce of gold to my Norge, thereby doubling its value!
There’s gold in those hills…(under the tank)!

How much? I have replaced that with the ones for an Aprillia tank & no foam. Funny they don't have foam that crumbles.

No kidding...this foam here and the foam in the airbox both seem to disintegrate after just a few years.
I spent $35 bucks for the 2 inch x 15 foot roll, and $30 bucks for a sheet of 12 inch x 24 inch of which I have plenty left over, that I'll use on another tank, maybe the Scura.
I used up the full roll and then just used a few more cuts from the 12x24 sheet, layering over a bit each time. Probably could have used a little bit less for perfect seam lines, but decided to step layer it.

That sounds reasonable for what it does & no foam, I've cleaned out enough. I can't believe they used it but guess it's hard to test when you need the model on line up.
