Title: 2025 V85TT versus 2023
Post by: vf84pc on September 11, 2025, 08:57:51 PM
My friend was looking at a new V85 isn't really a big difference from the previous years? I mean is the updated 850 as good as Logo Video claims? They are saying more power and torque in the mid range an smoother fueling with superior throttle response.

It's noticeable for sure.  Didn't make me want to trade my 2022 though.

Agreed...although I have a '23.
I bought my '23 last Sept, it was used with about 1k miles on it for substantially less than buying brand new, still has full manufacturers warranty until Jan.  I rode a '25 at Barberfest last Oct., it definitely has a little more midrange but not enough that makes me want to give my '23 away while spending several $K more for a little more power.  Besides, I'm no stranger to dropping to a lower gear if I need get up & go but it's usually not a problem for me because I don't let the thing loaf along very often.  However, the '25 may have better wind/buffeting protection.  I couldn't tell during my guided demo ride if the aerodynamics had changed enough to reduce some complaints about w/b.

I owned a 2020 for 4 years and had the X pipe on mine with stock exhaust can.  I rode the 2025 over labor day.  I think the response was about equal to my modified 2020 in that both will dig down lower, about 500 rpm but little if any difference when revved out.  I felt the major difference was refinement.  Everything just felt better.  I like how the windscreen adjusted and I liked the display much better on the new bike.  Either way, the riding goodness is present in all V85s.
