I just bought a Roamer and it is fantastic but I need to hook up a pigtail and there is no room to attach it to the positive ground. Is there a trick to getting clearance so I can screw the 10 mm bolt back in that I foolishly removed?

There’s a bracket that holds the battery in place. Two screws. Remove that bracket and you can pull the battery. Otherwise, whatever you decide. Best to remove that ground cable first before messing with the positive!

Thanks Dirk, now to find the screws.

Slide a piece of plastic straw or old ear plug under the battery nuts to hold them up and in place. You should be able to add two extra wires without buying new longer screws.

I’m sorry, my brain just hung onto the “foolishly removed the positive terminal bolt” and responded to that only. But yeah, as Vagrant stated, those screws can hold a couple. But it’s also no big deal to install a slightly longer screw and use washers/spacers if needed. Now if only one could do all this without tearing up the pretty red rubber terminal boot.

Yep forgot. There is no such thing as "positive ground". Ground the positive and it's suddenly the fourth of July. Always remove the negative ground wire first and replace it last.
While your at it remove the ground strap from the back of the engine and clean off the corrosion then lube it all with Vaseline.
