Title: Headlight full LED?
Post by: Numbercruncher on November 06, 2025, 12:43:35 AM
I never followed through with my plan to purchase a V85TT due in part to the old fashioned halogen headlight.  LED’s are just so much better that it is now a requirement for me to,purchase a bike.  Well while perusing the Moto Guzzi website tonight the specs now specifically say full LED headlight.  I cannot tell from the pics on the website if this is accurate or not and my closest dealer is 300 miles from here.  So did MG actually ditch the halogens in favor of LEDs in 2026 or 2025?  I also hope that 300 miles per tank is attainable if I don’t ride to aggressively.

Thanks.

I believe they've always been LED. There are no replaceable bulbs in my 2020 unit that I can see.

It has ALWAYS been LED, at least all of them I have seen.

Yes, you can do 300 miles on a tank, if you are very careful. BUT, the fuel gauge is pessimistic. As in, the last 50 or so miles it will be telling you there are zero miles and the tank is empty.

The Guzzi LEDs are good, but I will caution that a motorcycle simply having LED lights doesn't mean they're good.
Honda have a few LED headlights, especially on the mini motos (Super Cub, Monkey, Trail, Dax), that look good as a spec on paper but in reality provide poor illumination and throw for night riding.
