Title: Monday was a Wild Hair Day.....
Post by: SIR REAL ED on December 27, 2025, 09:22:56 AM
I've wanted to try out one of these for years, and could easily imagine having fun riding one, so I finally said "Life is short, what the heck?" and bought it.

Pretty cool.

I've ridden a Beta trials bike for 6 years, talked to people who have owned all sorts of Betas for years.  Beta's customer service is amazing.  They often go above and beyond to keep the owners happy.  Often replacing parts that are out of warranty at no cost.

If Beta would buy Moto Guzzi, that would be a great thing.

Congrates on xtrainer, lots of nice upgrades. I have a one as well they are great for technical riding similar to a trials bike.

Congratulations on the Beta and for being a Trials rider.

I know a few trials riders from TN who ride STRA and CVOTC events.

I have a 24 Beta xtrainer rock solid bike loads of fun off road I hardly ride on the highway since I’ve got this bike

That mirrors so many opinions I have read about the X-Trainer.

So far, I'm just playing around in a 300' x 300' area with lots of trees, driving out of tight turns, no more than 1/2 throttle for 1/2 second.... it is stupid fun!!!

Strange, it almost like a "little kid with a mini-bike" emotional reward.  Which is kinda why most of the people I know got into motorcycles.

Long trips?   Hyper-horsepower?   Ultra sticky tires? GPS?    Quick shifters?   On-board stereo, WI-Fi, video?   Custom fit, butt molded, heated, vibrating seats?

What happened to the good ole days of "Wow!  The bike actually started and kept running for a few minutes and I had a blast going nowhere!!"

Feels even more flickable than my Beta EVO 250 trials bike (which is hard for me to believe), with similar off idle roll on power.

A couple of my buddies who have mad off-raod skills say "You won't believe how capable the bike is in extreme terrain!"  to which i reply "I'll never find out cause I'm not going there!"

The float height needs to be adjusted, then I might do the old man thing and shorten the suspensions 2" to accomodate my short legs  Beta sells a kit!

Just yesterday I got my title and license plate for the bike just to mess with people.

Hmmm.... which is more rewarding technology or child like philosophy?

Definitely the latter.

A neighbor/friend who owned the local Honda/Suzuki shop for decades loves to tell about his new favorite motorcycle.  A Honda Grom!
