Title: Thank You Jim Hamlin
Post by: TN Mark on January 12, 2026, 12:56:06 PM
As most of you know well, Jim Hamlin is another excellent source for all things Moto Guzzi. Last week I bought two items from his eBay auctions. One was a fully intact Griso tool kit and the other a very nice Roadgear tool roll. Why would I buy a toolkit for a Griso when I have an Eldorado 1400? The main reason I bought it was to get the spark plug tool as I don't have one. The nos Eldorado 1400 tool kit I bought didn't come with a spark plug tool, or the helmet lock wire. Plus it only came with two Allen wrenches and no 10mm/13mm wrench. So, for $20, I now have many more additional items I just added to my nos Eldorado tool kit.

I don't plan on relying on the factory tool kit. But my new to me Eldorado didn't come with one at all. The one I bought did come with two rear shock ring adjusters though. Another thing I needed.

So, Thank you Jim Hamlin. More positive comments left for you on eBay.

Go to a rally up north and drop in to the shop.  They do good work.  Have lunch next door.  Chinese food or across the street.  American diner.   :thumb:

Jim is top notch....... His staff is fantastic as well. I've been to the shop while riding through the area, but got to spend time with Jim and Steve at the Guzzis in the Blueridge rally.

I've been saying this here for as long as I've been here.
Jim was my Triumph guy for a long time and when we opened his own shop started my on Guzzi.  Known and ridden with him for well over a decade.  Assisted at the shop many many times.  As straight a shooter as there ever was.

I'm always feeling for those who never experienced what a true professional shop is like.
