Post by: VINNY59 on January 22, 2026, 10:36:01 PM
Ok, thanks to everyone for all inputs, My 2009 Calvin now handles much better, changes as follows

tyre pressure back 41 psi, front 36.
replaced rear SACHS shocks with IKONS, 2ND PRELOAD, REBOUND POSITION 3.
FRONT FORKS lowered 20mm in triple tree.

Next step a remap to richen things up a bit.

While not the same motorcycle, I found tire pressures to make rather significant difference to how my Norge handled. I am a life long sport bike guy. Nothing else in my garage is remotely close to my Norge. When I put the new tires on, I aired them up to typical sportbike tire pressures for the street. 34 front, 36 rear.

Then, while reading the owners manual I found the recommended pressure were a bit higher at close to what you describe. Once aired up to those pressures, the Norge was pretty agile at speed. Turns out those few extra PSI matter more than one might expect.
