Title: Status of Museum Reopening?
Post by: mrubbo on February 24, 2026, 10:17:40 AM
Hello,

I am new forum member, and kind of new to forums in general.  I searched older topics for recent news on the Guzzi museum grand-reopening (targeted for Fall 2026), but was wondering if there were any news "on the ground" of Guzzi offering any factory tours or museum hours prior to the grand reopening?  The museum website information is not really specific - though I would assume everything is closed.

My wife and I are visiting Italy for the first time (our 25th anniversary and both are recently retired) in May 2026, and we will spend a day in Mandello (staying at a city at the sourthern end of Lake Como for a few days to spend time around the Lake and see the views).

I thank all the previous posters (after searching this forum) for the info they shared on other Guzzi related businesses in the area - that will make filling my 'Guzzi Day' easier.     Any help from recent visitors is appreciated.   Ciao.

Mandello is a lovely place to stay regardless of Guzzi, have breakfast in Gelateria Costantin to start your day.

at the italian anima guzzista forum we are quite a few "on the ground" with many members living near Mandello, regretfully, no museum visits or tours until the reopening in september 26'

quite a few moto guzzi businesses around if you are in need of parts

no shortage of other moto museums in the larger area, like MV Agusta, Frera, Scooter/Lambretta Museum but youd need a car to go there.

Mr. turboguzzi,

Thank you for your thoughful and detailed reply.  The semi-permanent closure until September what I was afraid of.  However, I will check out the details for MV Agusta!  I also think Scooter/Lambretta would be fun.

Again, thank you.

I didn't know that Lambrettas were still being made. I checked their website and found they are alive and healthy. They are not imported into the US though, unfortunately. There is a scooter in my future so Vespa it is.

Lambretta brand has some new owners, the HQ is in Switzerland, mfg. in Taiwan.

The Museum i was referring to is independent from the factory, it is privately owned by Vittorio Tessera, founder of Casa Lambretta.

Not to be missed IMHO.... and not just because visits are free and i live 20 minutes from there :)
