Can any one tell me what the output voltage and amps is for a 2012 v7c ? I am trying to make a mister regulator / rectifier circuit to replace the shunt regulator. Have found many diagrams, but don't know the exact alternator output values to select proper circuit. Have made a Cdi box for my Suzuki 1976 GT500 for about $12.00, works great. Once I have built and tested the r / r unit as working properly, will post results and diagram so will not be over charging battery anymore and maybe save a lot of money?

I can't help you with amps, but I'll say that on the next generation (the single throttle body V7 Stone/Special/Racer) the factory specs a regulator that charged as high as 15v and often failed allowing even higher voltage.
Many of us owners replaced the OEM regulators with MOSFET units that limited charging to about 14.5,V.

Page 188 of the 2011 Classic owners manual states 350 watts. Small blocks afterward dropped down to 270 watts.

A good group of knowledgeable chaps, they helped me build a voltage regulator for a 6V bike with an alternating current (AC) system, a 1969 Gilera 106cc, sold by Sears back in the day. The new regulator transformed the bike.

To find out what your bike puts out, get your meter & start the bike. Measure in AC voltage. what your bike does & the book may be different.
You want actual, this will tell you what your bike produces.
