My griso won't start and just clicks. I've cleaned the battery terminals and that fixed it for a week or so but it's doing it again now. Not sure how old the battery is but it was pretty corroded. When I hit the start button it just clicks and the screen turns off and then on again like it's cutting the power. Also noticed my headlight bulb went out at the same time. It left me halfway stranded yesterday while I was out but was able to push start it to get it running so I could get it home. Do you think it could be the battery? The battery reads 12.6v while not running. Maybe the startus interruptus thing I've read about or something else? I tried jumping the two contacts on the starter solenoid to see if I could get the starter motor to spin but there wasn't even any spark.

Even with a new battery SI is a thing. Order the kit and new battery and ride on!

Get the batt 1st, then do the mod. Like Bulldog9 says. I would make sure it charges too, check the belt.
You could even pull back starter & clean case & negative grounds next to it.

also had the same issues with my Breva 1110 even after the mod and new battery. My cure was to run a dedicated fused wire from the alternator to the battery as due to the aging factory wire harness was not getting a full charge.

Turns out my battery had 60 out of 200 cold crank amps and was 12 years old. :blank:

That will do it every time. Pretty good for a batt life.
