Title: Foreign object followed me home
Post by: Vagrant on March 25, 2026, 10:20:45 PM
I stopped at the new dealer in Chandler Az today. Nice looking place great people and easy to work with. Honestly I was surprised. I got a very fair deal. Great experience. I hate what happened to Manic Moto but you can’t cry over spilt 10/60.

That's a terrible choice, but tell you what- I'll take care of it for you.  I'll break it in, change the oil, set the valves.  If, and I really doubt it, but if it turns out to be a decent bike, then I'll return it to you in...  a couple of years.  I'm trying to save you some grief and let you know that your Guzzi brethren are here for you.

Congratulations.  That is the current bike that is making my palms sweat.  Great choice!

That bike looks great!

Is that a V7 Sport?

Yes. Testing it today but it sounds better at idle than any other bike I've had. I doubt it will be louder than most on the go.

What is the Reparto racing thing. I did a search, doesn't exist. Must be a Guzzi cool factor.

Any modern 750cc bike with "racing" on it should probably have more than 67 hp.

They race against themselves, not other Mfg's so you need no hp. I tried to find that name & it isn't out there so it's all hype. Cool factor only.

Aren't the V7's now 850cc?

As nice as the green V7 Sport looks in pictures, IMHO, it looks even better in person. Well done Moto Guzzi, well done indeed.

Reparto Veloce in Chandler, AZ.  A huge Piaggio Motoplex dealer.

I've done two longish rides with a guy who has that exact motorcycle (purchased from them, too).  Sounds lovely at 70 per.

That's a pretty big dealer sticker on sidecover.

I've had mine since July 2025 and I agree there is very few bikes sound as good at idle. I think it sounds good at speed too, but I almost always were my custom moulded earplugs. One time I didn't and i thought "is this thing even legal?!" Will taking mine on a 1 week tour of bits of Ireland in a few weeks. Just got a small tankbag for it from Givi - just for maps and small stuff. have HB hard luggage which is superb. Guzzi screen. Its a fine touring bike with plenty of get up and go. Back to back with my Breva, it has a lot more punch everywhere, and steadier cornering at speed.

I don't see a 12 volt accessory wire in the owners manual is it hiding under the battery area?

Fan of the bike. Not a fan of the Dealer logo. I imagine on any warm Arizona day it'll peel off without too much drama. First time I've seen that approach.

Enjoy the bike!!

That's the dealerships name in Chandler Az. The wind (from a hair dryer) blew it and the stupid octane decal on the tank off.
It's coming home in a couple of weeks to Ga. Will you feel good enough by then to put on a center stand?
