Title: 2026 V7; location of airbox drain?
Post by: Michael_A on April 12, 2026, 05:48:08 PM
New to me 2026 V7 Special. Reviewing maintenance schedule, and it states to open and clear the airbox drain at the specified intervals. OK, no biggie. Except neither the shop manual or owners manual identify where it is. Most likely under the bike somewhere, took a quick look for a hose with the typical plugged end. Can't find it! Can someone with a newer V7 point me in the right direction for where this hose is? Most appreciated!

The parts diagram on AF1's website makes it look like it's on a small nipple on the bottom left side of the airbox.

Thanks Kev!  :thumb:
Pulled the left side cover, and there is indeed a clear "drain cap" - about 1.5 inches long - presumably to see if it is filling with crud (mine is dry. Still running initial factory fill. Only 200 miles thus far...).
The arrangement is NOT a drain line per-se, as in old school air box drains using a run of hose that would usually exit around the swing-arm pivot area and terminate with a blocking cap (what I was initially looking to find).
Thanks for the parts diagram link; I downloaded it for future reference.
