I did a search and read the post: Diagnostic code--2016 Stelvio.
It kind of got me going in the right direction, but still not there yet. Here's my situation:
Right after I bought my 2016, I had a battery failure, so replaced the battery. This was in November.
Ever since that time, my clock has read "0:00". Always annoyed me, read the owner's manual and finally got the clock set correctly a few days a go.
But I still have the Service Indicator lit, and I tried to reset it without any success. I attempted the "Code Reset", I changed the code once to "00000" but then tried to access it and it does not recognise it. Tried the Code Retrieval, but upon entering the "00000" it says "Incorrect code". So then I started googling.
If I understood correctly, the thread mentioned above said that there is a "Service Code" and a "User Code". If I read correctly, the latter is the one I am re-setting, but I need the former in order to reset the Service Reminder.
My 2009 Stelvio had the code written down in the Owner's Manual (by the original owner, I presume) but this one does not. Again, the other thread said something about 10696--I'll give that a try, but I think it also said that the code was unique to the bike...
Can anyone give me some guidance?
Thank you in advance, Rich
