Alright everyone, it’s 2026 and I want to replace my caps and wires.
NGK XD05F is discontinued. I don’t see any superseded number from NGK.
I’ve been reading as much as I can, but I haven’t found any “this part from this brand” for the V7i/v7ii.
Is OEM the only option, or does anyone have part numbers from major brands that work?

Try searching for NGK 8072?

Canada, but North America, yes.
So that part number is still for sale in Europe?

Sorry, I spotted Canada AFTER I posted.
Yep, a few outlets show stock.
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=NGK%20XD05F - low stocks, it seems.
Be aware that I have come across fake NGK caps.
[Addendum] I see Bosch F00099C903 is suggested as an alternative, if that helps.

Personally, never heard of Fire Power..

I’ll check out the Bosch. I avoid Amazon when I can, and as you said, too many fakes rolling around. I really want to buy from a store front or the manufacturer if I can.

Bosch Seems to be a bust as well. I sent a note to NGK to see if they have a superseded number somewhere.

Buy the components and make your own. Two sources are Summit Racing, Pertronics.
-
PS. I made my own using Magecore Blue and their fittings.

This is the goal. If you have part numbers that work, sharing those would be super helpful.
Generally the issue is getting a correct angle on the spark plug cap to be able to fit under the cover and still meet the plug.

Go to" Magnecor" web site. You should find everything you need. They will also make up wire sets to your specs.
-
I was actually there yesterday after you mentioned it.
The SP115 and SP1617 looked promising, but without measurements it’s pretty hard to tell.
-
Give Magnecor a call, ask for the dimensions. Their phone # is at the bottom of their web site.

It would be interesting to hear a realistic justification for that price.

Ed! I've dealt with you before. I can honestly say you are one of the most helpful people I have ever done business with. Thank you.
I knew AF1 had them available, I was actually hoping to find an NGK alternative. It it comes right down to it, you may still get an order from me. But I want to see if an aftermarket alternative can be put together first.

Do the factory plug caps have NGK branding on them? I just looked at my 2014 V7, which I bought used from the first owner. Pulled the cap off the spark plug and it's got an NGK logo on it. Now I'm wondering if those had already been swapped out from the stock ones or, perhaps the factory was using NGK parts?

Does WG have a for sale site?

Found it. Swap Meet.

On my 2016 V7ii they do not say NGK, and I believe they are original.
