Title: Help…where do these connect
Post by: MiddleAgedMissile on May 13, 2026, 03:58:58 PM

Putting the Ambassador back together for a shakedown ride and heading to Kansas for the rally tomorrow.
Cleaning connections I seem to have lost the connection points for this gray/black stripe and purple wire. I removed battery plate to clean and paint and lost the connection. I’ve spent a lot of frustrating time trying to find the point to no avail. Should be to tail light and obvious but I’ve gone blind.

 Thanks,
The wires were disconnected when I purchased the bike. These wires are not on the wiring diagram and appear to be almost too short to reach the relay.

They are shown on the factory diagram for the US market V750 Ambassador.

The original location for the flasher unit was right next to the voltage regulator, so it looks like they would be long enough. The signal harness is usually separate from the main harness, so can be moved for more length. That part of the harness sometimes gets trapped between the battery tray and fender as well.
