Title: 2025 V85 Air Filter Access (solved)
Post by: YellowDuck on May 18, 2026, 04:45:51 PM
Anyone know how to access the air filter on the newer V85s? I removed the tool tray, battery and side covers, but still can't see the lower airbox clips. All of the instructions I can find online seem to be for the pre-2025 bikes.

NEVER MIND.  Solved it.  They added another plastic cover under each side cover.  #25 torx and two push fittings to remove.

For anyone reading this later, don't tilt the airbox lid back too far when you try to remove it, or when replacing it. It seems to fit best if you keep it angled close to the box.

Also, the clips can easily fall off after they are undone, so be mindful of that.  They probably won't end up anywhere *too* inconvenient if that happens.

Has anyone tried to lift the tank on a newer model?  I tried to raise the rear of the tank up an inch to make valve cover Removal easier, but could not figure out what the process is?

I removed the tank on my 2025 to run a wire for my GPS. There are many fasteners at the front that have to come off, some for covers and others in the tank itself, plus the lines and hoses in the back. There are videos on youtube that show how to do this. Worth watching as some of the connectors are not intuitive.
The V85 Service Manual from Cadre helps a lot too.
