The 42nd Annual Wisconsin Moto Guzzi Riders Rally will be held on July 31 to August 2, 2026 at the Legion Park in the Village of Wonewoc. All brands are welcome. Registration is $80 before July 1, 2026 and $90 at the gate. We will feature Wisconsin's best grilled brats & burgers Friday evening, Philly steak sandwiches Saturday evening and deluxe continental breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday mornings. As always, Wisconsin's finest refreshments will flow from the artesian taps. The rally fee also includes tent camping Friday and Saturday. Wonewoc is located in the heart of Wisconsin's "driftless" region - the area not flattened by the glacier. It is spectacularly scenic riding territory. Tune in here for late breaking developments.

They chose to do their own thing. I forgot why. Good campfire discussion with the Wisc higherarcy.

They have always been separate being their own club. The one elected as boss has been the Wi State Rep for MGNOC, that started with Mainard I believe. I was a member in WI club for a few years in late 80's.

We have a state rep and our meeting schedule appears in the magazine.The only thing I ever heard was that the club was reluctant to host a National rally.

From what I know through connections I can't reveal here, the WMGR are being closely watched by the FBI.
They are one of the most notorious "motorcycle clubs", alleged to be deeply involved in highly lucrative illicit cross boarder cheese trafficking! If you do have the misfortune to run into one of these characters, do not attempt to confront them, they are known to carry large quantities of highly potent Limburger at all times.
I know this personally, as I lost a dear friend to their evil ways, they actually cut 100% Limburger with, it pains me to say out loud, CheeseWhizz. You can imagine the human toll...

What's not all that far away is the SPAM Museum in Austin Minnesota (168 miles).
We spent a day prior to the rally wandering around Austin. This is "Hormel Town". Lots of history.
Even toured the old Hormel homestead.
Tell 'em that you're a Veteran and they give you a free can of SPAM.

Fittingly, Hormel now runs a top-flight cancer research institute there. It's pronounced Hor'mel instead of Hormel'. (The change to Hormel' for the meat company was made to avoid sounding German, when that became undesirable.)
I suggested (to my physician) a snappy marketing slogan for the institute:
Cancer! Hormel' giveth and Hor'mel taketh away.
No word back on the suggestion yet.

I really think I will be their, maybe a day or to early. I checked on $10.00 a day to camp. Then Sunday off to Stugis SD. Get there maybe a day early ride with some friends 2 or 3 days. Then what. I will riding a Harley that replaces the one I total last year and pulling my bunk houses camp, just living the dream.Rudy

Excellent - I live about 20 minutes from Wonewoc and can only make it Saturday so that's perfect.

As long as it's in the 60's at night...that will be great. Smoke seems to be clearing, maybe the rain storms will wash it all away shortly.

I'm 20 minutes away from Wonewoc. My wife and I sat out on our front porch with dog until 9 having a couple of adult beverages and it was beautiful, nice breeze out of the west, no smoke. It's supposed to be high 70s to low 80s this work week with higher temps this coming weekend. I did about a 230 mile loop Sunday with fairly heavy smoke and it was a little irritating but had a good ride nonetheless.

I read this on the forecast report for next week! Yay! No more smoke it looks like!
Clearing trend: Earlier heavy smoke and alerts from Canadian and regional wildfires have dissipated.

I plan on leaving Ar. next wed. for Ws. raily. One nite on the road camp Janesville Ws.(any suggestions for a wed. nite) then get to rally Thur.may find some trees. Sunday headed to stugis Sd. Then Tetons then Painted Gorge & then? at 83 this could be my last ride to stugis the nite life, don’t want to stay up that late.Rudy
