Cool, I'd love to make a set for my V7-850. Does Cone Engineering offer decibel killers? Did you "purge" the SS pipe when welding?
-
Looks great! Now we need a sound clip rolling down the road.
-
cone engineering offers almost everything. I subbed out the welding. One pipe is slightly crooked and they are a little longer than I'd like. Sound clip later!

Years ago had the guys in the fab shop weld up an H-pipe for my 850T out of 1-1/2” 304 .065 wall stainless tubing and stainless tee’s. Local muffler shop swaged the ends for a few dollars. Worked a treat and cost was almost nothing.

First ride was this morning. revs past 9k. some tuning required. video deleted
-
Sounds great and like a few of us you have your own rally in your garage.
-
I dont see any can mounting brackets. What's holding the rear exhaust on?
-
They are a little long and I'll be making adjustments. brackets come later. I'll be using 1/4" stainless rod.
-
All shortened up and brackets complete.

just perfection!!! what a bike that must be...
congrats

I edited the part out where I banged my head on the garage door. here is the replacement video with the pipes shortened. went on a 50 mile rip this morning. I'm pretty happy with it over all. you can see more of it inn the builds section.

Very nice, Turin. They match the lines of the tail perfectly! Well done , Sir. :thumb:

The video seems to have picked up most of the audio from the valve clatter. It may well be worth putting the camera on a tripod behind the bike.
Well done though, well done indeed. Thank you for the video.

I'll hear them Sunday.
-
Yes you will. See you at the shell station!
