Just watched last night. Well thought out and written. I enjoy his perspective on the motorcycle world.
-
So because the Euro and North American markets are stagnant, the East will dominate where/what motorcycling goes?
I think that’s where he ended up.
-
the next big trend in motorcycling appears to be people taking pictures and videos of their bikes rather than riding them
or being parked up by the side of the road fiddling with some tech
or making youtube videos about motorbikes
or posting observations on motorcycle forums like I'm doing now
seems like 20 years ago, it was a lot more about the ride that would not be televised
just my impression

My observation 95% of modern motorcycle videos involve rubber gloves. Opening a box with a farkle in it gotta have rubber gloves on. Tightening a M4 windscreen bolt, yep that to requires rubber gloves. Clipping in a new seat, definitely need rubber gloves for this. I'm sure there are videos of people wearing rubber gloves to put on rubber gloves.

I don't even own any. I will probably die of cancer of the hands.

I have a package of those black gloves that I received with an oil order. I never remember that I have them until my hands are grubby and am washing them off in the solvent tank.
-
I bet if the internet knew all the upcycled materials, chemicals used in or contained on all these low dollar rubber gloves their use would not be so prevalent.
-
I wear those gloves when working with oil or chemicals, at least when I'm home and have a box of gloves handy. In high school my auto shop class teacher had skin cancer and didn't wonder how he got it, gloves were a requirement for the class when we were wrenching, either rubber gloves or mechanics gloves depending on the situation.
As for trends in motorcycling, what manufacturers are doing and what "influencers" and content creators are doing have overlap and relation, but keep in mind what you see online is not a proportional representation of riders.

If you do, you will probably be the first recorded case in human history.
Imagine all the chemicals that are contained in rubber gloves.
Huge demand out there for all natural, bio-degradable hemp gloves!
