Title: I AM A+DDICTED, GC!
Post by: inditx on July 25, 2026, 01:34:52 PM
I’ve gone and done it again, another Guzzi!
I just can't help myself, the virus has affected me deeply.

Anyway, the great folks at Cadre and I only await a meet up date on one of their cracking deals for a new 2025 V85 Strada!

Let the games begin!

I thought I was cured last fall. However I got a deal I couldn't refuse and wound up with a T3 project. This past week I came across a deal on an 850T, a runner instead of a basket case like the T3. I pick it up a week from Tuesday, then I have to figure out what the path forward will be. So I have been reinfected or maybe just a relapse.

Congrats, I still have 2 of the 5 new Guzzi's I bought. The last new was 94.  I can work on them but I can't afford a new one. The last one made I'd be interested in would be a Griso. Not interested in Chinese parts they are made of now.

I thought I was done and then a cheap Griso 1100 was waved in front of me.

Griso's are pretty nice.

I think Griso's are the prettiest bikes on the planet especially the green ones. :wink:

Wallet X Garage Square Footage = #Guzzi

$ X sq ft = (x) Guzzi

Congratulations.  I did the same this spring.  MG was offering $1000 off the Strada.  It was hard to find one though - I really had to call around.  I don't know if it is all of North America or just Canada, but I was told they weren't bringing in the 2026 Strada at all, so 2025 was the only chance to grab one.  I am still futzing with getting the wind protection dialed in, and the seat is very good but probably possible to improve, but other than that it is perfect.  Probably my forever bike, or until I am so old and frail that I need something lighter  again.  Perfect amount of power and great power delivery for street riding, perfect riding position, great suspension for shitty back roads.  It's almost boring, how little this bike needs to make it truly awesome.  I have a centre stand and the panniers that come on the Travel, as well as a Givi Tank Lock tank bag, and I really can't think of anything else to do to it.   I guess now I just ride it, change the oil every 5k and do the valves every 10k until I die.  The V7 is sitting lonely in the garage, as is my 2006 Ducati Sport Classic.  The Strada is just so much the perfect bike for me at this point in my life.  I guess I have entered my old man riding era.  Doing second gear wheelies on a Multisrtada is for kids in their 40s  :grin:.

Already did https://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=125309.msg1925375#msg1925375

I don't know what it was like on the older bikes, but the 2025+ ones are still pretty shit as delivered.  I'm still running the tiniest screen I could find (recommended by someone else in that thread) and it's pretty good, in the lowest position.  In the top position the noise at helmet level is intolerable, even with earplugs.

Used oil is the best bet.  It has already been tested.  The new stuff is questionable.

I have a Marlin fly screen that I bought for my T120. The buffeting at the helmet lever was awful. I took it off on one trip, put it in the saddle bag and never used it again. When I got my V7 850 I thought I would try it again however with the T120 brackets which stuck it up over the headlight bucket a bit.  It is working very well, no buffeting at helmet level but most pressure taken off at chest level. Looks good too.
