IS anyone clear on the UpMap and what makes it special for the Guzzi? I have been trying to research and wondering if the only difference is in the cable that makes it specific? You can not purchase an UpMap unit and find a Guzzi cable to load the program to the ECU or is the UpMap unit specific to the brand? Right now, the dealers are 6 to 8 weeks out but I can buy a separate UpMap unit now and a separate E5+ cable. In theory, can you just borrow a cable from someone and supply this to the unit? I would think the unit itself is what records your ECU information so you can't use it on another motorcycle?

Yes, you can borrow a cable.
IMO the V100S is the first New Guzzi I have owned that fuels so perfectly from the factory I would never dare alter it for fear it would never be this sublime again.

My Navale was excellent.

Most modern/new motorcycles use the same standard 6-pin Euro5 diagnostic plug, so if the difference is just the cable you'd be able to order the unit for another Euro5(+) brand/model and it would come with the same plug as the Moto Guzzi uses.
I'd recommend reaching out to UpMap to get a direct answer.

I am removing the catalytic converter section under the bike and need to adjust the fueling. They make a specific map for just this job
