A favicon is that tiny little icon for a web site that you see next to the title in the browser page tab near the top, or in your favorites/bookmarks list next to the name. It is put there by the web site. When I come to the wildgoose website, I see a favicon that is for ebay. Worse, it is the old ebay favicon, not the current one.
Anyone else see this?

No, I see a little sheet of paper icon, with a folded-down upper right corner.
Favicon. Not sure I'm glad I learned that new word.
-
I see it but can't make out what it looks like.

Here's what mine looks like.

Mine has an icon that looks like a postman putting mail in a box. Does nothing, except say it does nothing.

It looks the same no matter where I'm at.

I am not wasting any worry cells on it.

Looking at the HTML source code for a page on this board, I don't see any entry for favicon. That seems to say that anything you're seeing is your browser's default for a page that doesn't have one. My browser shows the page with a curled edge. Lots of sites don't have a favicon. That used up all my worry brain cells for today.

I checked the source as well, and didn't see anything (I've built my own web pages and have added favicons). Then I checked my bookmarks, and didn't see anything specific, but then saw some ascii salad (random letters/numbers/punct) as part of the URL, and I thought that the favicon could be encoded that way in my bookmark. So I changed my bookmark, and the favicon is gone. for now.

Yep, that's one of the many modifications I did to the website this weekend. Glad you like it.

I noticed an Italian flag for a few days. Now I'm seeing an AT&T ball icon.
Not that it really matters. Just observing....

Italian flag came up just this evening as I signed on. I like it, easy to find it in my favorites.
