Title: Fairing mounted mirror for the Norge
Post by: canuguzzi on August 13, 2014, 11:31:05 AM
The "V" area in the fairing next to where the windscreen meets seems like a natural place for a fairing mounted mirror. Maybe they would have to stick out to far to be useful?

Methinks the Norge begs for fairing mounted mirrors. ??

Coming off 8+ years on an FJR to a Norge, I'm thinking I'd like to go with a fairing mounted mirror, thinking the same with location and a decent back plate. I got used to using mirros while backing up, cant do that with the handlebar mounted mirrors as well

Looking for examples. Also need to plug the mirror bolt holes.

You may want to try a temporary mount on the fairing and see if the wind turbulence is an issue before drilling holes. Some positions will be better than others no doubt.

I like the ones on the SPIII fairing.  They do 'buzz' a bit on some roads.

Reboot may have some if you wanted to try them.

Sacrilege! To tamper with the aerodynamics mandated by the Mandello wind tunnel is to yank the devil's beard! No good can come of it!!!
