I have a small issue. it is not a guzzi, sorry it is a ducati. Guzzidiag connects good to the bike but when I try the 5x reader it does not connect. To make it more complicated it is a 59m not a 5am ECU but afaik 5x reader should work on 59m too. Any one having and experience of this.
As additional information ducatidiag works and I can read the map with that one so my caable and ftdi should be good I think. It also passes the cable test. Any suggestions.

Did you resolve your Reader connection problems?
Like you, I can connect to my IAW5SM based MV Brutale 910 but the reader fails and the log captured shows that comms were established, baud rates successfully re-negotiated and then a fail with "-2" as the error report repeats 4 or 5 times and then aborts. IAWDiag (and GuzziDiag) connect and monitor flawlessly, and also TPS and CO adjustments work perfectly. Seems curious that the reader can't...

There's been quite a bit of dialog about connection troubles here, or would I be better contacting GuzziDiag directly?

I contacted Bernd with regards to this. I also sent him an old , partly broken 59m ECU so he could play with. When I tried the readout from this ECU it did not work. When Bernd tried it he could not get it to fail.
He had some ideas and sent me an test version of the reader with some revised parameters to test for him and it worked. I guess that he will implement the updates in the next release of the reader. I don't know if or when the new version is coming but I would guess that he wants to try it him self to make sure that the updates did not add any new problems. We will just have to wait, see and hope for the best. Bernd is very clever and is working very hard so I am sure that it will work soon.

were you the one I made the xdf for?
I do have some 59m xdf.
For AndySaki, contact guzzidiag direct about reading the 5sm.

No it was not me but if you have a 59m xdf I would be very happy to try if you have some. The one I have has very limited functionality. If you can post it my address is j_virdung at hotmail .com
