Title: Sargent seat on 2012 Norge
Post by: toolittletime on December 24, 2014, 09:02:13 AM

I thought I would share some pictures of my new Sargent seat I just got back. I bought a new seat from Moto Intl for 89.00 and sent it to Sargent. I kept the stock seat since my wife says it fits her just right. The stock one just hurt my man parts too much, and I was always sliding forward. My butt hurt after 20 miles.

It was just a little over 300.00 to have them dish out the driver area and add their own foam, flatten out the forward tilt, recover with a flat black vinyl with red stitching, add the Italian colors, and ship back to me. Took about 3 weeks. I have a Sargent on my ST 1300 and I think this one is even better.

Took it out for a 60 mile ride yesterday and in one word.............pe rfect!!!

So is this seat flatter than the stock seat?  The first pic looks as if still tilts forward but other pics do not.  Sargents foam is a little firmer than stock without being as hard as Corbin, is this what you find?

I also had Sargent do a seat for my B12S and love it. I had them raise it by 1.5".

My seat (2007 Norge) is on its way there, shipped on Dec. 22.  I've been wanting to do it for several years. . .

What seat did you get for $89?  I don't see it on their site.

Tim, that looks to be just what I need. What were your instructions to the Sargent?
I too do not like the sliding forward part of the stock seat.

Guys,
The 89.00 seat was available for a time, but not on their web site. Don't know if they have any more or not....you will have to call them.
Yes the seat is flatter and wider in the rear to stop the sliding forward on your junk.

The Sargent website has detailed instructions on how to mark your seat for level etc. I had them dish it out, which is one of the options, using their own foam, add the red stitches, three color flag, nothing done to the passenger seat. They actually sent me the fabric samples by mail  to choose from after 1 phone call, so I would know exactly what it would look like.
Once they receive the seat, they call you if there are ANY questions.
I have one of their seats on my ST1300 and it is great......they are firmer than the stock Norge seat, but not nearly as firm as a Corbin.
Any more questions, feel free to send me a message.
