Title: 2014 V7 Special - Fuel Filter?
Post by: Cam3512 on January 04, 2015, 05:13:28 PM
Can anyone positively confirm (eyes on) the type of fuel filter in the tank on a 2014 V7 Special?

Half plastic or all metal?

One heard reports the 2013 was half and half. And similar on big blocks.

Can't imagine they bothered to change that.

OK, this is admittedly not first-person eyes on, but over at Guzzitech forums, rogershuff reported that "Corsa Italiana in London, UK, tell me that the 2014 Stones have all-metal filters." Here's the link:  http://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/v7-fuel-filter-warning.12415/page-4

I can confirm that '13 was half plastic.  Check the parts list for '14.  I bet it's the same part number.  Remember, this is a US spec bike and may well be different from the European spec ones.

Guzzi will change to all-metal filters when they grease the steering bearings. Let's not be hasty.

One can still hope.  My '09 Calvin came from the factory with an all metal filter.  Can't imagine no one in the US has dug into their pump on a '14 V7 yet?
