For the slightly older rider on here, I met an older guy riding this summer and he had a funny comment about moto guzzi which I couldn't find on the internet, it was something like in business from 1921, going out of business since 1921 or something like that, perhaps someone else has heard the two-part phrase.
Thanks,
-Dave

Is it the one about making mechanics out of riders ?

I think you got it just about right. Something like "Moto Guzzi, going out of business since 1921."

Hey that one was mine. Coined right here on WG. ;D Ed Milich was going to buy Mark Ethridge a tattoo for his birthday, and there was a contest here. I proposed the red Guzzi oval logo with Moto Guzzi at the top, Going out of business since 1921 around the bottom.
Some were/are offended, but it was in jest..

I think the official saying in 1921 was "The Thinking Man's Motorcycle".
