Yup, poser's need not apply! ;-T DonG

He looked beat after that ride!
A little bit heavy for an enduro. ;)
-
That's a lot of bike to throw around! Good rider.

oh yes hat off , i think hes a good rider .

He's a good rider all right.
But, you know, he'd have gotten around that trail a lot faster with a 1974 Yamaha DT-175. If you HAVE to do it on a Quota or Stelvio, they'll do it, but they'll wear out a strong man compared to the right size bike .... !

I WANT QUOTA NOW!
That's how easily influenced I am.

I used to do trails like that regularly on a 650 Yamaha twin with knobbies. It probably weighed about the same as the bike pictured.
-
that was fun to watch, but doubt it was much fun to do...
-
Tons of fun! Good rider.

For the Guzzi Enduro ride up in Ely Nevada I rode with a couple guys that could do that. Wish my skill level was up to that. sigh.

Those days are long over for me, but I *loved* enduros. Most guys pretty much ran what they had. Fat Jack had a 650 BSA. I rode his Matchless thumper some, along with Bob's 441 Beezer. We used to swap bikes regularly. I had a Bultaco Matador.. a great woods bike. This was in Michigan in another life time. (early through mid 60s.) In the winter, we put sheet metal screws in the tires and ice raced.. ;D

He was going fast enough to see the suspension limits of the bike ;-T

I had a CZ-Jawa 250cc Mxer in the 70's. They called it at the time the European Elsinore comparing it to the new Honda 250cc 2stroke Motorcrosser that was the new dirt rocket. It was damn fast and a wheelie machine, but became a good dirt bike when the carb, chain and shocks were changed to good units. Whee haw! Lots of fire roads in the Alberta foothills and mountains were my backyard.... great times!

My nephew Woody.. RIP.. had a CZ. We had some good times, too.. mostly along the Salamonie river in Indiana. The Upland Mud Dobbers were the local club, and had regular enduros.

See.... There IS a reason to get knobbies on your Quota! 👍👍

Mud and Muck are great for learning how to handle a dirtbike, learn to use the proper brake at the right time, learn to use the spinning rear wheel, to burn donuts, wheelies and impressive "rooster" tails and also how to fall off properly, without too much damage.
But those flat bare mud flats, beaches, lumber tailings and dry lake bottoms ..... boring!
Gotta have some more variety! I like puttering through forests, climbing big steep hills, jumping and splashing through stuff too! ;-T
The foothills of the Canadian Rockies has many great service roads bulldozed west of Calgary where many times I had great rides on that crazy CZ!
That modified CZ was not good climbing the really steep hills and would usually flip over my head without very careful throttle control, landing on top of me sometimes! Good thing it was such a lightweight, two of my riding friends would then help drag it up the last 15 feet over the top of the hill. It was a tough bike and I was a lot more robust back then!

Its much better in wet mud!

I got "arm pump" just watching that video!
I squinted a little and was back on my ol' 1992 Yamaha TDM flailing through the woods! ~not a pretty sight..

How about a big "Dirt" Guzzi? :P
