Rocker, those retired guys have no concept of time. What could they possibly be late for except going to the bathroom ???
-
John,
Dates notwithstanding, I will be there. Probably on Saturday. The weather will determine whether I ride or drive ;D.

Hope to see you there Eric.
(I am glad you didn't go there yesterday) ;D

Show was really packed this year. The exhibits were OK. Some new bikes. Not like the late 90s but good. No Guzzi Content. Pictures are from my phone (poor quality)
Here's Suzuki Naked 1000 GSXR. Styled like most of the ugly new bikes. Seemed comfy. Bet it's fast.

Yamaha FJ9. Even uglier adventurer styling on sport touring bike. I Don't get it.

New Norton

Electric Harley. Very small. 30 miles range.

Duc Scrambler. Really felt nostalgic right down to the standard ergos, squishy suspension and plain gauges.

Perhaps my fav: Gary Nixon Thruxton tribute

Are they going to market that Nixon bike, or is it just for pretty?
-
Yeah. The Gary Nixon bike and the Norton are cool.

it was listed as a one-off tribute bike. I think it was standard Thruxton with a fairing and a paint job. It has a single front disc as well.
But it was pretty.
I wish Suzuki could style the stripped down 1000 GSXR like that. I am little tried of the cut and paste body panels and funny shaped flat headlights.
The Norton was actually owned by a member of the Norton Club. The guys at the table had no idea what it cost.

That Norton was at last years Chicago show. You can order a new Norton, they start at I think 19k. Check out their web site if you want one.
