Title: Lowered Passenger Pegs?
Post by: willowstreetguzziguy on January 18, 2015, 10:52:12 PM
Last year a forum member sold me a set of 1.5" lowered foot pegs for my 1200 Sport and they work great. Does anyone make lowered passenger pegs for this model or a Norge? Or does anyone have a set of Norge passenger pegs that they have laying around and would want to sell? I would like to get the Norge pegs because of the rubber cushioning on them for my wife. Maybe I could figure out how to modify them to make them lower.

I played around a little on my 12S, also wanting rubber pegs for the passenger.  If you put Knight Design (1.5") or Goldwing (1") lowered pegs back there, they will not fold up since they do not have a detent like OEM.  You may also need to source new springs if you want then to remain down.

I would think that Norge passenger pegs would swap right in but would not be any lower.  They should fold up like the current 12S ones.

I ended up with brand new Goldwing pegs (eBay, $35 from a trike conversion) that were perfect.  Wider, longer, lower, rubber-topped.  If you've got a pillion often, I'd consider those for passenger pegs also.

Supposedly Goldwing GL1800 pegs are a direct swap.. if they are the same, gotta be tons of GW options out there
