Title: Spark Plug condition
Post by: tonga2 on January 20, 2015, 07:57:59 PM
Can anyone tell me the condition of this spark plug?
I checked on the ngk spark plug condition page and my closes match would be "normal condition" or "normal life" is that correct?

This is the page I am talking about.

The center electrode looks worn to me.  Perhaps you might compare it with a new one.

The burn looks good.  The electrodes look ratty, but I can't really tell due to the soot.  Can you clean them up?

cool thanks for the replies good to know they look good. I was just curious.

They are due for replacement anyways (according to the manual) so I'll change them out.

If you want to know what is happening in the combustion chamber you'll need new plugs and a series of chops at different throttle openings. What machine? I'm assuming an 8V?

that's a weird looking plug, why is part of the electrode missing?
