Title: sidehack in minnisota
Post by: Mike E on January 21, 2015, 09:26:10 PM
Someone here may be interested in this or know seller. Just stumbled on this browsing. It looks like a bargain. What are the stresses a  side car may cause? Drive train, clutch? Looks well cared for. If I lived closer I would have a look. Must be stressed to sell this time of year.

I saw that one at the AMCA show last summer.  The bike is sharp!

Nice looking rig and write-up.  Even has a fer-real Hannigan fairing.

Broken spokes and leaky fork seals are the usual first thing to wear when you put a hack on a regular bike.
That rig does look pretty cool. I hope it has heavier fork springs and heavier shocks to bear the hack weight!

Yeah, it looks like a swanee, but the lettering on it says different.

Holy Cow, what a steal!!  I think just the sidecar setup itself is worth that much. Someone is gonna get themselves one heck of a deal!
If it were closer, I would buy that rig in a heartbeat. I like that sidecar better than my California Friendship II. Hannigan builds some quality products, I would mount that hack on my Aluminum, and sell off the EV. How could you lose??

The add should read  " Sidecar for sale $4500. comes with a free Guzzi!"

It was advertised for $8,250 back in 2011.

Heck I asked him today if  I could do a bank transfer and pick it up this week end! he said cash only?
I told my wife it was gone just so she would stop harping.

I could try but he sounded like a few serious people were lined up.. you'd have to get money to my bank before I could get cash and buy it for you. I'm trustworthy.. get me the money and I can go saturday orSun.

A friend of mine after carefully reading the add said "no title".  That would explain the price.

not sure he was that careful.. the EV Hannigan had a clean title. I have copied the ad at my other office if you need to see it.
