I've been looking at picking up a manual for bike wiring. I'm a noob in this regard, and would find it really helpful in troubleshooting and general edumacation...
do any of you have any experience with either of these?

furthermore....anyt hing of these known by you to be exceptional resources?

I haven't seen either but I doubt the Haynes could take you "From basic theory to Complex Electronic Systems" as it claims.
If you are into old Guzzis "Charging Around the Circuit" by John Noble might be a good place to start.

Would the wiring on a '00 Jackal be consistent with '90's "Geese" as his subtitle states?
I don't need to become an engineer to manage my 12v system, but I would like something that doesn't assume too much electrical knowledge going in.
edit to add: looked at the early pages, and for certain, he starts with a rudimentary explanation. You just saved me somewhere between 30 to 50 bucks, so I figure I owe you a beer. Remind me if we ever end up at a Rally together :BEER:

No, I think he focused more on older bikes 70 - 80s with generators and car type alternators.
I have some documents that are more like your 00 Jackal
A lot of it still applies of course but nothing on ECUs and fuel injection
