Playlist today was mostly Tangerine Dream and discovered that Edgar Froese has left the planet. RIP
-
RIP indeed. Enjoyed their music. Warsaw Concert Album was my favourite
-
Tangerine Dream. Now there's a blast from the past. I'd forgotten..
-
RIP Edgar.
Damn! Somehow I missed that back in January.
First Ian McLagen, now Edgar Froese.
Two different genres, but I miss them both.
I have been listening to the Small Faces since high school.
Edgar Froese and Tangerine Dream only since college.
Don't get me started on Can.
I feel old and in the way.

I think they did the soundtrack for a movie, Thief, if I recall starring James Caan. decent movie and really good soundtrack. I think I still have the vinyl somewhere. Thanks for remnding me about them.

I love Tangerine Dream... rats. Le Parc is another good album.
-
The music from Thief hooked me when it came out. Wishbone Ash is another of my faves.

You may be thinking of "Sorcerer", but that one starred Roy Scheider, not James Caan?

TD was quite prolific, film wise. Legend and The Keep come to mind.

I had to Google them to see what you guys were talking about. Turns out it's a band I've heard many times but never really listened to.
