He Guys,
I'm looking for a NOS Lemans 1 fairing and rear wheel for a friend. The fairing he has got a crack in it and the rear wheel is dented so looking to replace but he wants both in excellent condition not used. The fairing has to be the original paint with red and orange, not painted over black etc. If you have either let me know.
Thanks,
-
He could have the wheel straighten. I did this on my 77 LeMans and a bent front wheel on a BMW R1100RS both came out perfect.

Yea, good luck on the NOS fairing. Repops are available, or repair and paint the one he has.

Ditto getting the wheel straightened. Had to do that on both front and rear of my 77. Lemans wheels are kind of hard to find. Mine came out beautiful.

The original LeMans rims are the same as the LM II, CX100, early SP mag rims. ;) Sometimes you can get them straightened depending where the bend is. :-\

I thought the front rim was a little different with spacers, disks etc. I remember when I was looking to replace mine it was going to be such a damn hassle trying to make something work that I search out a shop to straighten them.
I still have the old non-stock rim that was on the bike that was just 'not quite right'. Have no idea what it is but guess I should try and sell it.

That's not a matching early LeMans rim. ;)

That's it. When new it cost $400 w/o bearings 15 years ago. Why do you want it? They are narrow and heavy. Serious racers put spoke rims on from a T-3.
